He is a past President of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland and a past Editor in Chief of the European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He has authored 600 publications and book chapters, co-edited three textbooks of Vascular Surgery and his work has been cited over 17,000 times.
